OUT OF THE STASH AT LAST CHALLENGE!

Do you have charts or kits that have been in your stash for years just waiting for you to start them but for some reason you have bypassed them for something else?  This challenge is designed for those poor unloved charts!

The details:

Choose 4 projects you still love that have been in your stash for a long time (meaning years).  Projects that you have continually passed over for other projects.  Projects that are feeling rejected and unloved.  In the spirit of the challenge, please do Not choose projects you just purchased last week/month unless you are a brand new stitcher or you truly do not have anything old, in which case you have my permission to do new designs.

Beginning October 1st, post a picture of one of the 4 projects you have chosen along with the fabric and floss to the hashtag #outofthestashatlast on Instagram.  Please include the name of the chart, the fabric color, count and maker and whether the floss is as called for or your own choices.  If you know why you have passed up this chart please include that information also as others might find it interesting.

Stitch on that project throughout the week (yes, you can stitch on other things during the week if you choose) and late on Wednesday, October 7th or before 10:00a.m. CST on Thursday October 8th, post a picture to Instagram of your progress (don't forget to use the hashtag!)  In a separate post, please post a picture of your second weeks project and all information just like you did for week one.  We will repeat this process each week in October posting late on the 15th or early on the 16th, late on the 22nd or early on the 23rd, with the final picture for the month being posted before 10:00a.m. CST on Thursday Oct. 29th.  If you have any questions please send an email to julie@reflections-framing.com
For those that have followed the criteria for posting and for choosing your project, you will be entered into a drawing for a free gift each week.

I realize some of you may not be on Instagram.  It is very easy to set up an account.  You can make it private if you wish and no one can see your pictures.
I'm including some basic information on how to set up an Instagram account and how to post to a hashtag.

How do I create an Instagram account?

Using Hashtags on Instagram

To tag your photo with a hashtag, just follow these simple steps.
1. Open Instagram on your mobile device and snap a photo. You can choose to use a filter if you wish.
2. In the caption box, include the information about your project and at the end type your chosen hashtag. ( Ours is #outofthestashatlast ) Upload your photo.
3. Once you have tagged the photo, clicking the hashtag will lead you to the other users who have also used the same hashtag for their photos.
